Wellwood Alpacas Ltd – Terms & Conditions
1. General Information
These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings with Wellwood Alpacas Ltd, registered in Scotland and operating from Muirkirk, East Ayrshire. By booking or participating in any activity with us, you agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions.

All activities are subject to availability and may vary seasonally.
3. Bookings & Payments
All bookings must be made via our official website or authorised booking link.
Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place.
Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive an email confirmation with full details.
4. Cancellations & Refunds
You may cancel your booking up to 48 hours before your scheduled activity for a full refund.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 48 hours of your booking or for late arrivals.
If Wellwood Alpacas cancels an activity (for example, due to extreme weather or animal welfare concerns), you will be offered either a full refund or an alternative date.
5. Late Arrivals
Please ensure you arrive on time for your booked activity.
We cannot wait for late arrivals, as this affects the schedule and welfare of the alpacas.
No refund will be given for missed start times.
In certain circumstances, and entirely at our discretion, we may offer to reschedule your trek for another date.
6. Weather Policy
Activities may be cancelled in the event of unsafe weather conditions (e.g. storms, heavy rain, ice, or extreme heat).
In such cases, we will contact you as soon as possible to reschedule or issue a refund.
Light rain does not automatically cancel treks — please dress appropriately.
7. Age & Participation Requirements
Children under 6 years old are not permitted on treks.
All children aged 6–15 must be accompanied by a paying adult. To lead an alpaca children must over the age of 8.
Participants must be reasonably fit and able to walk on uneven terrain.
Anyone behaving inappropriately or failing to follow guide instructions may be asked to leave without refund.
8. Dress Code & Safety
For your safety and comfort, suitable footwear and outdoor clothing must be worn.
We reserve the right to refuse participation if, in our opinion, you are not appropriately dressed (e.g. unsuitable footwear, open sandals, or unsafe clothing).
All visitors must follow the instructions of our staff at all times.
We also reserve the right to refuse participation if we believe a person is unfit, under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or poses a risk to themselves, others, or the animals.
9. Liability
Participation in any activity at Wellwood Alpacas Ltd is at your own risk.
Alpacas are gentle animals, but as with all livestock, there is an inherent risk of unpredictable behaviour.
Wellwood Alpacas Ltd, its staff, and representatives accept no liability for injury, loss, or damage to persons or property, except where caused by our proven negligence.
You are responsible for any damage or loss caused by your negligence or failure to follow instructions.
10. Photography & Media
You are welcome to take photos of your own group and the alpacas.
Please do not photograph or film other visitors without their express consent.
Wellwood Alpacas Ltd will not publish any photos or videos of visitors on our social media or website without obtaining prior consent.
11. Animal Welfare
The welfare of our alpacas is our highest priority.
We may alter, shorten, or cancel an activity if we believe conditions pose a risk to the animals’ wellbeing.
Please treat the alpacas with respect at all times — no shouting, chasing, or rough handling is permitted.
12. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
